Sandisk Docking Station October 12, 2008 This is a great item. I use it all the time with my stereo system.

Got this as a birthday gift from Mom. The Remote does all you need it to. It comes with 2 stands~ 1 for the E-200 and one for the C-200. The extra stand makes an excellent remote caddy. Included is a headphone to red and white RCA plugs. The Sansa can charge all day. In all it is a great product and works great.
Excellent Product July 13, 2008 I am not sure why there would be no so good reviews about this product. I have had it for over a month now and it does exactly as was advertised and the price was excellent Looks good anywhere and works great.
Works fine.. could be better - Worthless Remote July 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a docking station. Enough said. It looks pretty good - the whole Sansa line does. It connects easily to my receiver. It recharges the unit easily. If that is all you need, it's great. Hence 3 stars.
But, here are my faults with it. One, the stupid useless remote doesn't really do anything for you... plus it NEVER stays in the "remote holding slot" ...
Operationally, two things bug me that I feel should have been engineered in as an integrated product (it works pretty much like a "universal" dock):
(1) The signal to the Receiver should be clean - not sent through internal sound/volume processing: (Is there an option?) For example, when I first turn it on, I have to remove it, manually turn up the volume on the unit, and replace it on the dock. It defaults to 50% volume on the unit, which forces you to turn the receiver to dangerously high levels (god forbid you forget to turn the receiver down before changing the source selector to 'Radio'!! Can you say blown speakers?) You cannot even adjust the volume with it ON the dock.. so again off...up..on! No matter what output source I use (stereo, computer, etc.) I am going to use ITS sound processing and volume controls! Stupid.
(2) When it is ON the dock (i.e. NOT battery-powered) it should have an option to keep the display on if the unit is on (similar to Palm/Pocket PC). As a result, when I shut off the stereo, the Sansa is still on - and I don't realize... it basically goes into sleep mode as if on battery power. So, to change the song you have to push a button to awaken the unit, and again to change the song.
And the remote is worthless....
In summary, it works, its good looking . but, nowhere near a flawless gem of a device.
Sansa Docking Station June 4, 2008 This unit was wasy to install and easy to operate. I am very happy with my purchase.
