Looked good, but lacked quality October 28, 2007 After I finally figured out how to work all buttons in the right combination, the thing up and quite working. I'm glad that Apple has improved their products. We have two of them and I also have a Sony MP3 player. iRiver needs to make a better product. This one lacked durability and thoughtful design.
Great item January 3, 2007 It is great and I send it to my friend as a very good gift.
it was okay December 18, 2005 i got this about 2 years ago. when i got it, it was really great. about the fourth or fifth time i changed the music on it, the things that hook it up to the computer got bent and broke. i think that it is a waste of money and you should buy the ipod. it is a better value, holds more music, and is better made
iRiver 190T MP3 Player best quality for price October 26, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought the unit about 3 weeks ago to use while I'm working out at the gym. Weight training can be boring and the MP3 player adds some life to the 1-2 hr. session. It's very light and hangs around my neck which keeps it out of the way. The batteries I put in it have yet to die and the indicator shows that half the battery life is still to be used. The sound quality is excellent and the 256MB memory is more than enough to put a few hours of hard core workout music on. I have 30 songs on it and it's only 1/4 full. The only draw back is the USB connection is touchy. It disconnects itself sometimes when I'm changing or adding songs. I also had to purchase new headphones, but that's because the earbuds that came with it fall out of my ears while I'm working out. That's not a fault of iRiver. I got a $10 pair that hook around the ear at Radio Shack and they work great. Overall, for the purchase price, capacity of the player, long battery life, ease of use, and good sound quality, this product rates high on my list of successful purchases over the past year.
Total waste of money October 21, 2005 4 out of 18 found this review helpful
Why would anyone pay $149 for a 256mb, USB 1.1, b/w screen player, when an extra $50 can buy a 2gb iPod nano, is simply beyond me. What could possibly be the logic? It doesn't seem like there's any. I used both players, and it's really hard to justify buying this one instead of nano. The two are simply day and night. And if somebody really wants to go with a small capacity player, then 512mb iPod Shuffle for $99 is still a much better deal.
