 Didn't get it right September 2, 2008
I purchased an extra battery for my Zen Vision/W 30GB player. They sent me a battery for a Zen Vision and not the Zen Vision/W they sent me another one and it was still the same older version. I have yet to receive a refund as of 2 Sep 08.
 Battery Died .... Creative doesn't honor their written warranty ! ! August 14, 2008
When the battery works it works good ... for how long it will work you will find out. Maybe you are ordering another one for the same reason I ordered mine?
After enjoying my player for nine months it suddenly died. I new the player was ok because the power adapter/charger would still run my player.
I was happy to see that I still had 3 months left on my warranty as "parts" are covered for an entire year.
When I contacted Creative they suggested I order a new one but would check and see if they had any in stock , which they said they didn't.
I kept on contacting support and each person gave me a different story until they finally said I had to send it in (player & battery) and it would cost me 25.00 for them to diagnose that the battery was bad.
Finally realizing it would take time to package it and then pay for shipping I gave up. I took off the battery cover on back (voiding the warranty) and discovered by myself that the battery had leaked inside the case.
**** Other companys I have dealt with would have sent me a new battery and told me to throw the old one away ****
Of course this would have cost Creative about $30.00 and they would have kept me as a customer. But maybe they don't care about the hundreds of dollars repeat customers bring.
**** I NOW HAVE A NEW BATTERY BECAUSE I HAD TO BUY IT AND I WILL GET TO SEE HOW LONG IT LASTS THIS TIME **** I RECOMMEND DETACHING THE BATTERY WHEN NOT USING IT FOR EXTENDED PERIODS ****
AMAZON.COM gave me the best price for a new battery at $45.00

Zen was nice to have. I computer troubles had arose not, may've gotten more use from. But alas, no. Was effective on keeping my schedule, pictures, music; hmm, come to think of it, I miss my Zen.

I bought a spare battery for my Zen Vision W as I take a lot of long haul flights and power points are not readily available. Battery life is excellent easily giving 4 to 5 hours when watching films and well over 16 hours when listening to music. Also charge is retained really well, I inserted a battery that had been charged 10 days previously to find it was still fully charged.

The battery was purchased for my son's Zen, as a back-up. It works great. Amazon shipped everything quickly - I couldn't be more happy with their service.
