sandisk January 7, 2009 I ordered this player for a Christmas gift. When I gave it to my friend they were totally excited. I had already pre-loaded much music on the device and it was very easy and simple to do. And very easy to use. As of right now I am very happy with this product
San Disk Sansa c250 mp3 player January 6, 2009 Wow. What a value. Compact without being flimsy. Sturdy unit that performs very well. I have since purchased external speaker system to enhance the unit. Probably wise to use after market ear buds. The supplied earbud unit is inferior. The ability to easily expand the memory is a positive feature. The USB hookup is very simple. Purchased mine for myself for Holiday gift and the price was outstanding. Makes me laugh at the iPod systems.
Not nearly as good as the E200 series January 4, 2009 I got this for my son and ended up keeping it when he liked my E250 better. In fact I thought I had ordered the E250 and later realized I had made a mistake. BUT I LOVE the E250 and since this one was a new model I figured it would be just as good or better. Isn't that why a company changes things? To improve on it? Well they missed on this one. It is much smaller than the E250 and has a smaller screen. It has a flimsy feel compared to the E250 and when you turn it on it takes so long to actually start up, I thought it was not working. It does play though and it will be fine for what I want, I was just so disappointed.
Outlasted all the others I have owned. January 2, 2009 This little player has outlasted all the other mp3 players I have gone through.
I installed Rockbox on this player and now I can use the 8gb micro sdhc cards on it, so I have a 10gb Sansa C250, and only cost me $35 for the 8gb card.
But this little player has never given me the first problem, at all, never even frozen up. I am quite pleased with it and will be sticking with Sansa when it is time to upgrade again.
Bad Battery? December 28, 2008 Received the player very quickly, as expected. It was given as a gift for the holidays, and out of the box, it did not work. I was able to connect it to a computer, read all the directories, even do updates and such. The only problem is the battery would not charge at all, to allow it to power up when not connected to the computer. I even bought a separate wall charger at the same time, and no luck there either. So now I await a replacement.
