Other details include Monster's Smart Digital charging technology, which delivers the precise charge your Zune requires; a 500 mA maximum power output for fast charging while enjoying movies or music; and a handy, flexible 6-foot cord. The SlimCharger, which connects to the USB connector on your Zune's sync cable, is backed by a one-year warranty.

Does the Job, But January 6, 2009 I take my Zune to work each day and view a few Podcasts as time permits. As you know video eats up battery time in a hurry. So I wanted to be able to keep the Zune charged so it would last throughout my 10 hour work day. I was looking for a connector that would connect the Zune directly to the AC outlet. That is what I thought I was buying based on the way things looked. And the add for the connector was not real clear that you still need your regular Zune charging cord to be able to connect the SlimCharger to the Zune. It works but it could have been an all in one connection. Too Bad!
Ok USB charger but pricey June 24, 2008 I bought this charger because I was in a pinch heading on vacation and it's all they had at the store I was at. It was hard parting with $30 for this knowing I could really use any USB charger to do the trick. It seems to charge just as fast as plugging into your computer usb port.
One curious issue I have had, and I don't know if this is just related to this charger, but when my Zune 30gb's battery is completely or very close to completely depleted, this charger will not charge the battery. I have left it plugged in for an hour or more and the little AC charging icon never appears. I tried resetting, different outlets, etc. but nothing. As soon as I plug into a USB port on my PC the battery instantly starts charging however. Again, not sure if this is the charger or the Zune.
Don't waste your money December 19, 2007 Why would you want to buy a charge cable that could not function by itself?
It's a major disappointment when I bought this item. I own both iPod and Zune. I bought a charge cable for iPod, which would plug directly to the iPod and electrical outlet from the wall; on the other hand, this Monster cable requires the sync cable from Zune for it to work, what a failed design from the company.
Why is Microsoft product always falling one step behind Apple?
I loved my Zune, just don't like this Monster cable.
Fills the void. September 2, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this charger simply because I need the long length to run it from the wall up my entertainment center to the Zune dock (the cable they give you is like a foot long.) I've noticed that a lot of reviewers dont know that this is an EXTENSION CABLE! You will still need to plug your Zune sync cable into the usb connector on the end.
It's a slimcharger June 16, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It does it's job good but does not come with the Zune cord. I like it.
