The compact yet powerful high-performance system employs a quartet of Odyssey neodymium full-range drivers to fill your room with clear, accurate sound and all the volume you (and your friends and neighbors) can handle. It's the perfect accessory for bedrooms, smallish apartments, basements, and any other space where a full-size speaker system is pure overkill. The On Stage II incorporates Apple's universal iPod dock adapter, which works with most docking versions of the iPod, including the iPod video 5G and 5.5G and the iPod nano 1G and 2G. Simply slide your iPod into the dock and you're set--no additional cords to connect or adapters to fuss with. As an added convenience, the On Stage II also offers an auxiliary input for connecting a variety of other portable audio devices, including the iPod shuffle, personal MP3 and CD players, desktop and laptop computers (all platforms), and satellite radio receivers. As long as your portable audio device has a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack connection, you can play the audio through your On Stage II speaker. As a bonus, the On Stage II comes with a wireless remote control, giving you the freedom to enjoy your music from across the room or in another room--up to 50 feet away (including through walls). The system itself, meanwhile, includes easy-to-use touch controls for the volume and mute, and even remembers your last volume setting after it shuts down. Great sound January 7, 2009
I bought 2 sets on black Friday. One of the AC adaptor had poor connection and won't work. I tried to call JBL's warranty service but the complicated phone system really confused me. Finally, I e-mailed their service department and surprisingly received very quick response (within a few hours) from a "real person". He ordered a new AC adaptor and arrived my home 5 days later. This speaker is small but the sound is clear and powerful. Do not expect a lot of base. You must plug into the wall outlet in order to turn it on (no battery powered). Even you turn off the power button, it can still charge your i-Pod.

I was really satisfied with this product. I had a really small space that I wanted to put it in and it fits perfectly. Don't let the size fool you..it packs a lot of power. And it is very versatile as it works with every type of Ipod.

My husband already owned one of these docks for his ipod and loved it. It gives a very big sound from a small speaker. When I saw this dock for a fraction of the price on Amazon.com I snatched it up for my daughter. She loves it and is able to listen to her MP3 player in her room without wrestling with her dad to borrow his!
