This seems to be tough enough to spare your iPod some abuse, but there are no extras. There is no belt clip. It is just a case.

this was a great investment. thick and solid. with a $300.00 investment in an ipod touch it does tend to get rough handled on occassion. This case has done an excellent job of protecting the touch from any damage!!

I bought this case because my ipod touch, after only a few days out of the box, was starting to look terrible from all the scratches. This case provided a sturdy solution.
Pros:
- it feels really solid. The case makes it easy to grab and it won't slip out of your hand, and provides a little more girth to an otherwise sleek product.
- provides simple shock resistance. I am pretty clumsy when it comes to my electronics, so it's comforting to know that this case will cushion the fall (though I try to avoid them anyways).
Cons:
- bulky. If you want to put the ipod in a dock, you most likely need to take this case off, which is a hassle. Also it makes putting in some bulkier head phone jacks a pain.
- no back protection. There is another model that does offer it, but it looks like a tire/grenade combo. It really isn't all that big a problem considering it's pretty hard to drop the case on its back.
Just a note:
I know the picture features this product to have rounded corners, but the model I received did not. You looks the ipod aesthetic a bit as a result. Overall, this case is great, and makes the ipod look a whole lot tougher and sturdier than before, and definitely more substantial.

Speck ToughSkin Rubberized Case for iPod touch (Black)
Speck's Toughskin for the iPod Touch is a thick silicon case from a brand known for protection. It's about twice the cost of the DLO Jam Jacket case without the added "wire Management" but for those who care most about protection, this thicker case may be for you.
Pros
+ Thick silicon case with ribbed edges protects your iPod Touch
+ Raised surface provides better protection for face down iPod falls
+ Entire surface is left open, including home button and top area
+ Silicon is somewhat less slippery with better grip than DLO Jam Jacket
+ Design works with all iPod Touch models, including the 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models
+ Thin and sleek without extra cord management piece or clip
+ Case designed to repel dust
Cons
- Priced at the high end of silicon cases
- Case design requires removal for use with most iPod docks
- No included cord management area
- Few options for connecting case via belt clips or arm bands
- No included surface shields
This a very solid case for protecting your iPod Touch. The closest competitor is the DLO Jam Jacket. I own both so I will compare them here. Unlike the DLO, the Speck case doesn't include the wire management and is thus thinner. It is made out of a thicker silicon with a less slippery grip. The edging is much thicker too and provides a raised surface for laying your player face down. Overall, the Speck has fewer built in features but provides better protection for your iPod touch than the DLO Jam Jacket. Both of these cases are not built for dock compatibility. Using these cases with car mounts or in iPod docks usually requires you to remove the case first.
DLO's case does include surface shields and cost half as much as the Speck Toughskin, so it's a better value.
If you need a case to stand up to maximum abuse, the Speck case is probably worth the extra $10.
