Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Kanto iPair 5 may look like an ordinary pair of bookshelf speakers. But built into one of the speakers is an iPod dock for any docking iPod. Not only will the iPair energize your iPod with big, bold audio response, but it will also connect to a TV via an S-video output for viewing iPod video on the big screen. The iPair 5 has a 5" magnetically shielded cone woofer; a 1" tweeter; and a ported cabinet for low bass reproduction down to 55 Hz. The left speaker incorporates a great sounding 20-watt-per-channel RMS power amplifier, with volume control and on/off switch. A credit card-size remote control gives you full command of your iPod, including click wheel functions, volume, and mute. The remote also lets you select inputs or play back tunes in repeat or shuffle mode. Left and right line-in RCA inputs, plus a 3.5 mm miniplug jack allow you to connect other devices to the iPair, like a portable CD player or MP3 player. It also has a USB port for syncing the iPod with your PC. You can connect Apples Airport Express using the AC power outlet on the unit, or view video content from a connected video-capable iPod on a large-screen TV via the speakers S-video output.
