I have enjoyed this MP3 player. It is easy to use and works with my library databases for audio books. The options with this player are great for people who want more than just music.

Cons
* Equalizer has only five bands, and the lowest band is too high: it sounds like it is about 100 Hz. Better would have been a seven- or nine-band equalizer with the lowest band at 60 Hz or, even better, at 40 Hz.
* No file browser.
* Unlike the Samsung T10, the Fuze does not come with a plastic sheet to protect the display screen from scratches.
* Cannot load a picture to use as wallpaper.
* Supplied earbuds are OK, but you should upgrade to something better if you care about sound quality.
Pros
* Excellent sound quality.
* Easy to use.
* Selectable between Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) mode or Mass Storage Class (MSC) mode, so the Fuze should be compatible right out of the box with just about every modern home computer. Syncs with a wide variety of media players or just copy-and-paste your music.
* Relatively inexpensive for about 7.5 GB of actual usable memory.
* You can expand the memory by an additional 8 GB. Greater-capacity cards might be available in the future.
* Not as stylish as some Samsung or Apple MP3 players, but much better than previous ugly SanDisk MP3 players.
* Is heavy enough so that it does not feel like it came out of a cereal box.
* Six seconds to boot.
* Unlike a certain famous competitor, the Fuze has an FM-radio tuner and a built-in microphone for voice recordings. You can also record from the radio.
* Displays song ratings.
* Unlike the Samsung T10, you can display album art along with the name of the artist, the name of the album, and the name of the song while the song is playing. Press the thumbwheel a couple of times and you can get a bigger picture of the album art.
The actual colour of this MP3 player is grey, not silver. It compares very favourably with the Samsung T10. Four-and-a-half stars.

I also have the e250. This player works very nicely and is very compact so it fits very nicely even in your "boulder holder!" that is if you are a woman. The screen is easy enough for me to see however, you may want to compare the screen size to other mp3 before buying. I sat next to a man who had a much larger mp3 (Ipod)so he could watch videos. When I looked at the font size of his letters they were the same as mine even though the screen was much larger-seems crazy to me! I think the companies should not only say screen size but also list font size!! I would recommend this mp3 and also the Griffen transmitter to play over your car stereo and the DLO Action Jacket that protects the player very nicely.

I'm not new to the Sansa products having had a Sansa Rhapsody e250 & Sansa Express now for about 1.5 yrs. I was very happy with the simplicity of syncing the above that I looked at the new Fuze.
I've had for 2wks. and love it. It's classy looking (silver-actually more metallic silver-gray), sturdy not plasticky, and what I love about it is the ease of syncing thru Windows media Player.
You can also drag and drop and with expandable micro memory card, you have loads of space for your music, podcasts, audio books & videos.
I didn't get it for the video feature since the screen is very small and 50 somethings don't need more eye strain than what we already experience with reading glasses. Photo viewing is not the best but then this is not a high definition digital TV so you get what the product can offer in such a small screen. I probably would've given this 4 stars because of the small screen but everything else is working w/o problems and it's easy to use, so I gave it a 5 stars.
I've had several "oohs and aahs" from friends and they were really impressed by the classy look on the Silver Fuze.
for the price, you should not be disappointed, never had an IPOD and don't plan to switch now.

I bought this for my husband and have enjoyed sharing it with him. Unlike the iPod, the Sansa Fuze can be used on multiple computers. We switched earbuds because they weren't too comfy, but other than that have been pleased. As soon as the price drops on Amazon, I plan to buy another one for me. Before you buy, check the price, it's been as low as $111.00 and as high as $129.00. If it's closer to the high end you might want to wait a few days to see if it drops back down.
