 Went crazy after 4 months September 10, 2010

At first when I got the Zune, I was pretty satisfied with it. The design looks elegant. It is thin and simple. The Zune software for PC/laptop is not that bad either. The only problem is that it tries to load every single new thing (video, music, pictures) I just download from the internet. I have to reorganize the library of Zune device every time I plug it into my laptop. After 4 months of using, it just suddenly shut off while I was listening to it on the way to school. I thought it ran out of battery so I recharged it. However, it didn't show any sign of charging or working. I tried all the button on Zune, but I got no reply. I read on the Zune forum and saw that a lot of people got the same problem like me.
It's really a big disappointment for me in Microsoft. I think I will on get either Sony or iPod from now on if I want to listen to music.

I've only had my Zune HD for a short time, but I already love its music-organization features, as well as the intuitive UI. Web browsing and available apps are well below Apple's browser & App Store, but since neither of those are a big issue for me, that's fine. Much cheaper than a comparable Touch for this refurb'ed piece of hardware. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

I pre-ordered this and received the first one on 20 Aug 2010. The headphone jack did not work. Only the left channel had sound and you had to wiggle the plug to even get that. I tried 3 different headphones. The first also had a rather huge scratch on the face right out of the package. I seriously doubt this was a new item.
Amazon sent me a second one. It came within 2 or 3 days of my request. Very good service. I have 30 days to sent in the orignal and they make it real easy to do so. Just print the return labels and take to UPS.
The second product is also defective. Although it is better and both channels produce sound this time, it still requires you to wiggle the plug around until it makes a connection. Then you have to make sure you don't touch the plug. Of course, this is not acceptable. I think I would like this player if it worked as advertised. I won't bother with a third.
Unfortunately, it looks like Apple will gain a new customer. I really don't want to go Apple, but I gave MS a fair opportunity. They gave me a crap product.

I have been keeping an eye on this player ever since it first came out. I didn't buy it until a few weeks ago because I never saw a need to buy it since my old mp3 player was still working perfectly. After I noticed a few signs of my old mp3 player getting ready to go, I decided that it was time I finally bought the Zune. What I really like about the Zune is that it allows you to go on the internet using a wi-fi connection. There have been a lot of times when I have shut down my pc and realized that there was something that I forgot to check out on the internet. With its wi-fi capability, this player has always pulled through. I love the sound of the music and picture of the video on this player. The touchscreen on this player works really well, it's not too sensitive and I don't need to press to hard to get a response. I also like the fact that HD radio is available on the player.
The reason why I gave this player 4 out of 5 stars is because you need to use Zune software to add and delete music/video from the player. My old mp3 player allowed me to drag and drop media onto it or even delete media directly off the player. Fortunately, the software is very easy to use because it does not add or delete any music/media off of the player unless you tell it to. (I've always found Windows Media player to be a nightmare at this.)
Overall, this player is totally awesome.

Wow. it is lighter than i thought. Its so easy to use except for the volume control, but ill get used to it. I always loved zune. This made me love it more. Its so cool.
