Product Description The Motorola S9 Bluetooth stereo headphones turned a quite few heads when it was first announced. It's much smaller than the over-the-ear Plantronics Pulsar 590A and lighter than most other Bluetooth stereo headsets. It looks sporty and is lightweight, and it's especially chic-looking when Beckham wears it. The Motorola S9 works with mobile phones for calls and with phones with the A2DP Bluetooth profile or music players with Bluetooth (integrated or via adapters) for wireless stereo music playback. The headset offers easy-to-use controls, decent voice quality and good music quality and it supports common call management features. The headphones aren't perfect but for those who are seeking a pair of lightweight, water/sweat resistant stereo headphones, the Motorola S9 is worth a look.

Great for listening to Iphone wireless May 12, 2010 Michelle A. Frericks (Jacksonville, FL) I don't use this for phone calls, so can't comment on that. I use it so that I can listen to music on my Iphone 3GS while working out and riding my bike and be wireless. Works great!
Good headphones, crazy blinking light January 24, 2010 Amelia D Call me awful, but I bought these so people wouldn't know I listen to music during class. With my hair down, you can't even tell I'm wearing them. I haven't been caught yet (fingers crossed).
I primarily use these while painting. Chords+turpentine--not a good mix. Changing music/volume with just a slight touch of my (clean) pinky is unbelievably useful. Plus, I like being able to walk across the room without the connection breaking.
I do have trouble with the dongle, if it gets jostled too much the sound cuts out temporarily. But if I'm walking to class and my iPod is in my bag then it's not usually a problem. One thing, if you're using the dongle on your iPod at night, the blue blinking light is bright and ANNOYING. I put duct tape over it. Problem solved.
I don't use the microphone, so I can't comment on that.
I've had these for a few months, and I'll be buying them again.
Love it!! August 6, 2009 Patricia Z. Capasso (NY, USA) I purchased this item because my boyfriend has one and loved it. I have used it several times and love it too!! I use it with my IPod at the gym and it's great not to have wires. Same with the train. I recently went on a trip to NYC and took these with me. They were very comfortable...I even fell asleep with them on! The sound is very good as well. I would reccomend these to all of my friends!
Anticipation gives way to disappointment December 30, 2008 John J. Hildebrand (Stafford, KS USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My fault is that I am a loyal Motorola fan. A little less so after a year with this flop. To Motorola: Thank you so much for going out on a limb and trying to produce this technologically advanced product. This is exactly what I was looking for. I can't what until you come out with a very refined second edition.
To potential consumers: Beware. I won't repeat all of the other problems unvailed in the other reviews but I assure you I could echo the other complaints. New complaints: They came with a white bluetooth adapter that really clashes with my black 30 GB. I wish they would have cared enough to ask me what I wanted. Second, Every time I wear them I get a headache. The back of the S9 is so heavy the back of the headphone slips down and rides on my neck. This could be my fault as my ears seem to be low on my head and the S9 doesn't get to rest on my ears. Third, My headphones controls stopped working with less than an hours use on them. I had to send them in and get them replaced. Fourth, Although made for fitness they are not very workout friendly. Comfort, sound quality, and control are compromised under workout conditions.
Please beware of the downfalls of these. If still interested, go to Best Buy and try them on before purchasing. Thank you Motorola for trying to produce such an awesome product. Please don't be afraid to revise the design of the S9. I am eagerly awaiting a new edition of S9 that performs as needed for workout conditions
Great under the helmet December 21, 2008 D. Morris (San Diego, CA) I wear these under my motorcycle hemet (half helmet) and they work great. They get a little uncomforatable under the helmet, but nothing that's painful or distracting while you ride. I can hear the music loud and clear over my Harley's pipes.
