| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description With 80GB or 160GB of storage, iPod classic gives your music and video room to move. It also has plenty of energy (up to 40 hours of audio playback), good looks (a sleek, all-metal design), and a great personality (a brand-new interface with Cover Flow). In other words, iPod classic makes an ideal companion.Cover FlowIf a picture says a thousand words, think of what all the album art in your collection might say. With Cover Flow on iPod classic, you can flip through your music to find the album you want to hear. Use the Click Wheel to browse music by album cover, then select an album to flip it over and see the track list

Just as good as brand new August 26, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just bought an Apple Certified Refurbished iPod (6th gen, 80gb) and it is just as good as a brand new iPod. Not to mention the fact that you can save about $70. I wasn't totally sure what to expect in a refurb. but what I got was a brand new looking (no scratches, dents, perfect condition in looks and function) iPod for 30% less than buying a new one. I couldn't be more pleased! In fact, I may consider other refurbished products in the future.
The reason being: Refurbished products are tested, each part must be fully operating before it can be given the stamp of "Refurbished". New products just off the assembly line could be defective and have parts that will hinder the product's performance. To me, it almost seems like getting a refurb. is more safe than going brand new.
Oh yeah, and the refurbished iPod comes with the same 1-year warranty a brand new iPod comes with. That made me feel a lot more secure about buying one refurbished. And if you still feel uneasy, you can also purchase the extended warranty, just like you can with a new one.
So overall, buying refurbished is a smart move, at least from Apple, since you can rest assured that you will be getting a quality product. Plus you're saving a few bucks. Who can argue with that?! :)
